Forest elves are lighter skinned than their cousins the Sea Elves with skin tones ranging from a creme white to a light tan at the darkest. Their hair tends towards the browns and blacks with some occasionally having red hair or green tints. Their eyes tend towards greens and browns, some of the noble families also have light yellow or gold eyes.
Linving so close to the Fal Black Mountains Forest elves have developed a society with a central government so as to be better able to defend against the orc, goblins, giants, trolls and other monsters that call the Fal Black home. The Forest Elf capital of Issania is home to The War Council, made up from members of the Forest elf noble class and who rule the Forest elf territory. They in turn make laws and decisions for the Forest Elf Nation, mostly to do with its defense and the positioning of troops. Only nobles can serve on The War Council but anyone showing skill, courage, and cunning can rise to the highest rank in the military and gain entrance to War Council meetings, though they cannot vote.
Beast-Touched Forest Elves
Members of the Forest Elf Nobility are all Beast-Touched with different families representing different species. Only Members of the Nobility can serve on the War Council. When in their animal form their coloring mimics their skin and hair to a degree, only their eyes remain unchanged. As with other cases of Were-ism only Forest Elves seem capable of becoming Aetanthropes.
